The Compton Initiative and City Church Compton are rooted in a simple vision: following Jesus, loving one another as family, and seeking the well-being of the city. Through hands-on service—like painting homes, schools, and murals, and hosting neighborhood clean-ups—they’ve mobilized thousands of volunteers to bring hope and restoration across Compton.
At New City, we’re grateful for our ongoing partnership. We join in their serve days, support their work through initiatives like backpacks, Easter baskets, and camps. We’ve also had the joy of learning from Pastor Pat Dirkse when he teaches at New City, and we love supporting their local outreach efforts—from City Grind coffee shop to City Catering.
