our vision

TO KNOW CHRIST  Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ...becoming like Him.  Jesus came to seek and save lost people. Many people in our society have been turned off by the church without ever understanding who Christ is or how to have a relationship with Him. We will provide opportunities in which people can learn the truth about Jesus in order to experience His love and forgiveness. Our desire is for each individual to discover a personal and life-changing relationship with Christ.

TO GROW IN CHRIST  2 Peter 3:18  But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Once people have met Christ, growth in their faith is vital, enabling them to live obediently to His commands and be conformed to His character. Spiritual maturity is a process; therefore, we provide opportunities to learn the disciplines needed for growth. These include the habits a daily quiet time with God through Bible reading and prayer, corporate worship, stewardship of time and resources, and accountability which is necessary to maintain these disciplines.

TO SERVE CHRIST  1 Corinthians 3:9  For we are co-workers in God's service...  Salvation in Jesus Christ includes a call to ministry. God has uniquely shaped each individual for service. We believe Christians will become fruitful and fulfilled when they discover, develop and use their God-given gifts and abilities. Every believer has a specific and equally important ministry for building up the body of Christ. The church's task is to enlist, train and support these people.

TO SHARE CHRIST  1 Thessalonians 2:8 ...so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel but our lives as well. The Great Commission calls us to penetrate not only our community, but the world with the Good News of Christ. We desire every believer to be equipped to share the Gospel, consistent with their personal style. On a local level, individuals are committed to praying for and building genuine relationships with unbelievers, sharing Christ and the impact He has made in their lives. Our goal is that ultimately those who are reached will reach others. On a worldwide level, believers participate in mission endeavors through prayer, financial support and serving as both short-term and career missionaries.

We desire to create a culture of:

Prayer: In the New Testament church "all joined together constantly in prayer" (Act 2:42), suggesting a mindset that place prayer at the heart of the church's activity, always a part of everything we do.

Humility: As seen in Mark 10:42-45, Jesus taught that humility is the foundation for greatness in God's Kingdom and we cannot build a Kingdom culture in our church without it.

Joy: It's a barometer of the inside spiritual condition. Joyful people act differently - positive attitudes, God-honoring behavior, and uplifting speech that lovingly encourages. (John 15:11)

Hospitality: Romans 12:12 encourages us to "...seek to show hospitality." Warmth and friendliness are demonstrated and communicated regularly because all churches naturally drift toward an inward focus.

Relevance: The key to people understanding our message is our understanding them. The level of our understanding of our complex culture will set the limitations of our ministry. (1 Corinthians 9:22-23)
